CAREER

An experienced professional working in the corporate world for 15+ years and for the longest time as a Derivatives Account Manager for the New York Stock Exchange in the City of London, I experienced intermittent but excruciatingly deep levels of stress which drove me to dabble in everything and anything that could alleviate the feelings and physical consequences.

ALTERNATIVES EXPERIMENT

London is good for that. Chose your menu. I saw myself taking up Tai Chi, Yoga classes galore, getting Reiki, having my Ayurvedic pulse read, booking Hawaiian massages, any kind of massages, looking into Energy Healing and charting my potential allergies through Muscle Testing (I’m still sceptic!), learning Primordial Meditation, consulting a shaman. You name it! My avid readings took me from Autogenics Training to Yogic philosophy. I worked hard, partied, and searched for outlets to my stress which were often random, sometimes fun but ultimately instructive. I learnt a great deal about myself and techniques to help with the strain of modern life.

AYURVEDA

When I finally left the City and London for Dorset I went through a journey of unfolding and growth. I became a mother and in 2014 followed a long time passion of mine to study Ayurveda with Cate Stillman, a teacher in the US through her 9-months long programme, Living Ayurveda.

Ayurveda is the ancient Indian medical science. In Sanskrit its root meaning is “the science of life”. It is the oldest traditional system of mind-body medicine in the world. However it is still so successfully practical in its approach to both preventive health and healing that it has not lost its actuality and is more than ever accurate to deal with an overtaxing way of living – if you know and are willing to apply its simple strategies. Ayurveda is an all-around lifestyle with efficient solutions for wellbeing & vitality.

YOGA & BREATHWORK

In parallel, humbly following in the footsteps of the worldwide famous Sri Swami Satchidananda, I took my yoga to another level and eventually certified as a Yoga and Breathwork instructor in 2015 with the school of Integral Yoga in Dorset, studying with Rowan Cobelli. Integral Yoga is a Hatha Yoga tradition which is a methodical system integrating all branches of yoga – Hatha, Raja, Bhakti, Jnana & Japa -for health and harmony. It is a complete practice incorporating Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises), a deep guided relaxation and Meditation. I have been teaching classes locally since then around Poole. EARTH-BASED TRADITIONS

In 2016 I followed an urge 20 years in the making and for 5 months studied with an Earth-based tradition of shamanic heritage based in New York, a very personal journey which deepened my connection with Nature and my relationship with Her as the big healer. It is another instrument in my toolkit, I draw on very practical techniques for breathwork, grounding, energy work and to make efficient lifestyle adjustments for wellbeing and coping with modern stresses.

REIKI

Energy Healing was an interest of mine for decades before I completed Reiki 1 and 2 with Marissa Whitty. I write more about this beautiful experience here

WAYFINDING

In April/May 2020 I took a course with Martha Beck called Practical Wayfinding. Fascinated by her work for years, this was a big dive into her most powerful life coaching tools to thrive. I am and will be incorporating these into my offerings to help you create your best circumstances and find solutions where traditional thinking might obscure what you can create for yourself.

MEDICAL HERBALISM

Following my deepest calling yet I am in the 3rd of a 4-year full-time Medical Herbalist Programme with Betonica School of Herbalism which I started in September 2020. This is an incredibly thorough training to gain the medical and herbal skills to treat patients in clinic with plant medicine. I am incredibly passionate about the benefits of herbs and holistic natural medicine for treating minor conditions and supporting patients with the side-effects of orthodox medicine in more serious conditions. I share a little about this journey on instagram whenever I have a little time amongst the intense study schedule.
